Why we exist
A seventeen-year-old can graduate having never seen a pay
stub, a policy, or an interest rate explained out loud. Then the bills start.
Financial decisions are rarely difficult because the math is hard. They are
difficult because nobody explains the tradeoffs, and the person doing the
explaining usually earns a commission on the answer. We separate those two things
completely. What we teach is free and it stays free.
Most of this should have been taught to us at seventeen. It was not, and the cost
of that gap compounds for decades. So the work starts young: with students, with
young families, with the first paycheck and the first credit card and the first
time somebody offers you a policy you do not understand. Nobody is too early. A
surprising number of people arrive convinced they are too late, and they are wrong
about that too.
